Vietnam — Soundport Project

A 30-minute instrumental journey across Vietnam in one continuous arc, from the austere ca trù chamber of Hanoi to the breezy coastal optimism of Da Nang. No vocals; pure instrumental storytelling.

Each track is composed from the music of its place: the smoky ca trù tea-houses and đàn bầu masters of Hanoi's Old Quarter; the regal nhã nhạc royal court of Hue's Imperial Citadel; the vọng cổ longing and V-pop pulse of late-night Ho Chi Minh City; the Hmong khèn mouth-organ and leaf-playing drifting over the terraced rice of Sa Pa; the river-drifting đờn ca tài tử chamber of the Mekong Delta in Can Tho; and the lantern-lit bài chòi call-and-response of ancient Hoi An.
