Tunisia — Soundport Project

A 22-minute instrumental journey across Tunisia — six cities in one continuous arc, from the nocturnal ma'luf of Tunis to the festive mezoued of Sousse. No vocals; pure instrumental storytelling.

Each track is composed from the music of its place: the refined ma'luf and deep Stambeli undercurrent of the capital Tunis; the island pluralism of Djerba, where Jewish-Tunisian tradition meets an ancient salt-aired acoustic; the Sufi zawiya music of holy Kairouan, an accelerating sacred cycle; the methodical southern ma'luf school of the port city Sfax; the dreamy cafe stillness of blue-and-white Sidi Bou Said; and the boisterous, sunlit mezoued of Sahel-coast Sousse.
