New Zealand — Soundport Project

A 33-minute instrumental journey across New Zealand in one continuous arc, from the Polynesian harbour twilight of Auckland to the open-sky renewal of Christchurch. No vocals; pure instrumental storytelling.

Each track is composed from the music of its place: the Polynesian urban pulse of Auckland, its hip-hop and Pacific hand-percussion glossed over a twilight harbour; the windswept dub-reggae-jazz of capital Wellington, a city of arts and film humming through the midnight; the grey, bookish jangle of Dunedin, birthplace of Flying Nun and the lo-fi Dunedin Sound; and the resilient, post-earthquake electronic and indie rock of Christchurch, rebuilding under a vast open sky.
