Echoes from Mexico City to La Paz
A 46-minute instrumental journey across Mexico — 12 cities, one continuous arc from the high-altitude pulse of Mexico City to the desert stillness of La Paz, where the Baja meets the Sea of Cortez.
Each track draws on the music and landscape of its place: cinematic ambient with cumbia-sonidera DNA for the capital; the marimba at the heart of Indigenous Oaxaca; a son jarocho fandango of harp and jarana driving the energy of Veracruz; full mariachi brass and violins ablaze through Guadalajara; and the misty Maya-Tzotzil highland sparseness of San Cristóbal de las Casas. No vocals — pure instrumental storytelling from mariachi brass, marimba, son jarocho strings, and field-textured ambient.
