Germany — Soundport Project

A 42-minute instrumental journey across Germany — 10 cities in one continuous arc, from Bach's Thomaskirche in Leipzig to the bank-tower-and-underground paradox of Frankfurt. No vocals; pure instrumental storytelling.

Each track is composed from the music of its place: the contrapuntal organ and Gewandhaus tradition of Leipzig, birthplace of the German classical line; the gemütlich blasmusik and beer-garden brass of Munich; the Mensch-Maschine motorik of Düsseldorf, where Kraftwerk made electronic music from nothing; the maritime cool-jazz and Hamburger Schule of fog-grey Hamburg; the Wagner tubas and Ring Cycle pilgrimage of Bayreuth's Festspielhaus; and the 4 AM Berghain techno that made Berlin the techno capital of the world.
